SBI has an impressive resume of vehicular bridge superstructure fabrication and has furnished and/or erected bridges for many of the largest DOTs in the West. From tradition I-Plate girders to complex tub and box girders to truss and cable stayed, if it is designed in steel, we can detail and fabricate it.
Rail Bridge Structures have been in our history from early on. Generally more complex than vehicle bridges due to the heavier sections and thicker plate material, SBI has a proven ability to quickly and efficiently fabricate even the most challenging rail bridges. Our largest project involving rail bridges is currently on-going for the I-215 Widening in Riverside - San Bernardino through Highgrove, CA. Three 400’ ft long through truss bridges (6 total 200’ spans) for the BNSF railroad will be a keynote job for SBI.
While SBI modular steel bridges are pre-engineered and pre-fabricated they are also completely customizable to provide our customers with greater flexibility for any application. Modular bridges have been used in a variety of applications such as, mining, forestry, county, ranch, resort, and recreation. All modular bridges are designed and constructed observing all industry standards as set forth by A.I.S.C. While modular bridges can be installed in very little time, they also are extremely durable having a life expectancy up to 100 years.
